By the ‘s, skilled cabinet makers were crafting beautiful tables, though the equipment was, otherwise, quite primitive. Fifteen-ball pool came on the scene in the late ‘s and grew in popularity through the ‘s. Billiards was revived in with the release of the movie THE HUSTLER. It enjoyed another surge in the mid ‘s with the release of the movie sequel, COLOR OF MONEY. Since that time, there has been an evolution of the environs in which we find pool tables — they’re in restaurants and night clubs and sports bars, allowing pool to find a modern audience and new generations of enthusiasts.
