Product Description

This design features an artwork by the Impressionist landscape painter Alfred Sisley (–). He spent most of his life in France, but remained a British citizen, and he strongly believed in painting his landscapes “en plein air” (by which he meant “outdoors”). This painting shows a meadow near Louveciennes in north-central France, where flowers, daisies, poppies, blueberries and herbs are growing. Two little girls in blue dress and straw hats are in the center of the scene. There is a wooden fence towards the right, and there is a clump of trees growing behind it. It provides a beautiful view of the countryside in summer, and many agricultural fields can be seen in the distance. The original painting was produced in , and it is now housed in the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC.
